- 500 glean ground pork
- 4green onions, chopped
- 4 clovesgarlic, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoonsfinely chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoonfish sauce
- Pinchsalt and pepper
- 1 tablespoonvegetable oil
- 2 tablespoonssodium-reduced soy sauce
- 1 tablespoonhoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoonmaple syrup
- 8Boston lettuce leaves
- 1carrot, finely julienned
- 1 tablespoontoasted sesame seeds
- 2 Tbspchopped cilantro
- 2 Tbspchopped peanuts
- 2 Tbsptoasted coconut
- 4lime wedges
Instructions
- 1In large bowl, combine pork, green onions, garlic, ginger and fish sauce; season with salt and pepper. With wet hands, shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 2 tbsp at a time. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
- 2In large skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook meatballs, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through, about 12 minutes. Add soy and hoisin sauces, and maple syrup, turning meatballs until well coated.
- 3Layer 2 lettuce leaves on each plate, and fill with toppings as desired.
