Chicken

  • 2 lbChicken Breast(2 boneless skinless breasts, ~1 lb total)

Spice Rub

  • 1 TbspOlive Oil
  • 1 tspChili Powder
  • 0.25 tspOnion Powder
  • 0.25 tspGarlic Powder
  • 0.25 tspDried Oregano
  • 0.25 tspKosher Salt
  • 0.06 tspCayenne Pepper

Sauce

  • 0.5 cupBarbecue Sauce

Instructions

  1. 1Mix olive oil, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl.
  2. 2Add raw chicken and coat evenly.
  3. 3Heat iron skillet over medium high heat and coat with cooking spray.
  4. 4Place chicken breasts in skillet, cover, and cook 5 minutes.
  5. 5Turn chicken, replace cover, and cook an additional 5 minutes.
  6. 6Remove cover and check chicken for doneness.
  7. 7When cooked, pour half of BBQ sauce over chicken.
  8. 8Turn and pour remaining sauce over the other side.
  9. 9Cook 3 minutes more while basting chicken with sauce.
