Meatballs

  • 1.5 lbground beef
  • 0.75 cupsoats
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 3 Tbsponion(very finely minced)
  • 1.5 tspsalt
  • 2.5 tspground black pepper

Coating & Prepping Meatballs

  • 0.75 cupall-purpose flour(for coating)
  • canola oil

Cooking & Sauce

  • 1 cupketchup
  • 2 Tbspsugar
  • 3 Tbspvinegar
  • 2 TbspWorcestershire sauce
  • 5 Tbsponion
  • 1dash Tabasco

Instructions

Meatballs

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2Combine all meatball ingredients. Roll into medium-small balls and place on a cookie sheet.
  3. 3Place sheet in freezer for five minutes.

Coating & Prepping Meatballs

  1. 1remove meatballs from freezer and immediately dredge in unseasoned flour.
  2. 2Brown meatballs in canola oil until just brown. Place into a baking dish.

Cooking & Sauce

  1. 1Combine all sauce ingredients. Pour over meatballs and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  2. 2Serve with egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or crusty French bread, as well as some roasted veggies.
