  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1onion(diced)
  • 1 poundground beef, or pork or chicken
  • 0.5 cuphot water

Seasoning

  • 0.5 tspchili powder
  • 0.5 tspground cumin
  • 0.5 tsppaprika
  • 0.5 tspsalt
  • 0.5 tspblack pepper
  • 0.25 tspcrushed red pepper
  • 0.25 tspgarlic powder
  • 0.25 tsponion powder
  • 0.25 tspdried oregano

Fixins

  • flour tortillas and/or hard taco shells
  • cheddar cheese(grated)
  • lettuce(shredded)
  • salsa
  • avocado
  • pickled red onions
  • cilantro
  • lime wedges

Instructions

Meat

  1. 1In a skillet over medium-heat, add the oil and onions.
  2. 2Cook until starting to soften, then add the ground meat.
  3. 3Cook the meat until browned, then drain the fat.
  4. 4Add all the seasoning spices.
  5. 5Add ½ cup hot water and stir.
  6. 6Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.

Fixins

  1. 1Serve with warmed flour tortillas and all the fixins.
  2. 2To warm the tortillas wrap them in foil and warm in a 325 degrees F oven for 20 minutes.
